Health problems, Vjosa Osmani undergoes a surgical intervention

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has undergone a surgical intervention for the removal of the gallbladder, which has ended successfully, her office announces.

The intervention happened yesterday, while during this time the duties of the president have passed to the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca.

Announcement of the Presidency of Kosovo:

The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo informs the public that yesterday (November 2), following the recommendation of specialist doctors, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, underwent a minor surgical intervention (gall removal), which was performed with success.

Based on her assessment and will, during yesterday, President Osmani has temporarily transferred the responsibilities of the President of the Republic to the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Glaucus Conjufca.

From November 3, the President will continue with the exercise of constitutional duties and obligations related to the position of the President of the Republic, and will gradually return to public engagements.

During this period, we ask for the understanding of the media to respect the fundamental right to privacy of the President, which is guaranteed by the constitution.
