The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, spoke about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, while asking the parties to implement all the agreements that have been agreed upon.
Michel said that if the parties do not adhere to their commitments, they will face sanctions from the European Union.
"We expect them to implement the previous agreements. The association is an important first step in our opinion. Serbia justifies itself that it cannot recognize Kosovo's independence due to the constitution. We made it clear that those agreements that have been signed must be implemented and we made it clear that we will observe during the following weeks whether their implementation will start. If something like this does not follow then there will be sanctions", declared Michel.
Yesterday evening, the head of EU Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, said that the parties set preconditions for each other at the Brussels meeting.
Although the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, declared that he had agreed to the new EU agreement, it was Vucic who refused to sign it, presenting some additional points.
