The police in Greece have killed a Syrian immigrant while trying to escape.
The media of the neighboring country write that the Greek police chased the 20-year-old Syrian for several minutes in the area of Larissa.
The young Syrian was driving a stolen Nissan Navara car when he fled from the police. After a few minutes of chasing, he crashed and got out of the car to leave on foot. At this moment, a Greek policeman shot him in the back, leaving him dead on the spot.
Greek media say that the murder took place under unclear circumstances. So, it is the Greek media that published the "criminal card" of the 20-year-old Syrian. According to them, the Syrian was sentenced to 46 months in prison by a court for illegal immigration trafficking.
It is still unclear whether the procedures for the policeman who shot him to death have started.
