Mitsotakis "does the strong" with Erdogan: He knows the power of the
Mitsotakis and Erdogan

Greece claims that it can withstand Turkey militarily. This was confirmed by the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

"Mr. Erdogan's recent statements are unacceptable," Mitsotakis said, referring to Turkish warnings to Greece with the language of war.

"The Greek islands are not a threat to Turkey. The opposite is true. Turkey threatens the islands", he stressed.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis commented on the possibility of the crisis escalating into a military confrontation with Turkey saying:

"I cannot imagine a Turkey-Greece conflict. I don't think it can happen. And if that were to happen, Turkey would get a response that would be absolutely catalytic. I believe that Turkey knows this very well. He knows the adequacy of the Greek armed forces and the level of their readiness."

However, the head of the Greek government said that he is ready to meet with the Turkish president.

"We will continue to equip the armed forces and try to keep channels open with Turkey. I am not the one who blew up the communication bridges with the neighboring country. I'm open to meet him, but he doesn't want to talk to me."
