An Arizona woman saved herself from a suspected kidnapping by passing a note to a gas station customer suggesting she call 911 for help, abcnews.com reports.

The woman was allegedly kidnapped from a Phoenix car dealership by a man "wearing a wig and pretending to be an Uber driver," according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

The man allegedly chained the victim while they were driving to Las Vegas, the County Sheriff's Office said.

While at a gas station in Seligman, Arizona, the woman left a note for another customer that said "help" and "call 911" and included a description of the van she was traveling in and a phone number.

The customer called 911 and gave a description of the woman and man she was with and the direction they were traveling on Interstate 40.

"Fortunately, the van was found. The suspect, identified as Jacob Wilhoit, 41, was taken into custody without incident and multiple firearms were found in his vehicle," the sheriff's office said.

"Wilhoit was charged with kidnapping, the person is in jail awaiting trial," the sheriff's office said.
