The far-right leader, Marine Le Pen, has admitted losing the election but has told her supporters that the result is nevertheless a victory for the party.
She said she respects the ballot box verdict.
Le Pen added that she will continue to fight in French politics, although the far-right candidate had previously said she could leave politics if she lost.
Marine Le Pen expressed her gratitude to the people who voted for her in the French provinces, villages and overseas territories.
"This is a forgotten France, but we will not forget it," she said.
At the end of her speech, Marine Le Pen sang with her supporters Marseille, the French national anthem.
