The European Union's top diplomat sharply criticizes Vučić for his visit

The European Union's chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas, has expressed her concern over the participation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, saying that this visit is not going unnoticed by EU member states.

During a press conference together with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, Kallas was asked whether this visit could affect Serbia's EU membership process.

"From one perspective, it is positive that the Serbian army is not participating in the parade. That would have been even more problematic. However, going there, alongside Putin, while he is involved in an actual war – the largest war in Europe since World War II – remains an issue that touches everyone's conscience," Kallas said.

She stressed that EU member states have not taken Vučić's move lightly and added that "there are many questions to ask as we discuss the next steps. Who are your allies? Who are you really siding with?"
