Former US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger stated that official Washington has rejected traditional diplomacy.
According to him, in the absence of a great leader, the world has brought the world to the brink of war with Russia and China over Ukraine and Taiwan.
"We are on the brink of war with Russia and China over an issue that we are partly the creators of, with no concept of how the crisis will end or where it will take us," he told the Wall Street Journal.
He pointed out that modern American leaders see diplomacy as something for which they must have personal relations with the enemy, try to convert or convict their interlocutors and do not try to understand their point of view.
Kissinger believes that the United States must seek a balance between itself, Russia and China.
He stressed that the United States of America should not increase tensions.
