The Prime Minister of Scotland resigns!

Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf has resigned a year after the fall of his government.

Yousaf's coalition government suddenly fell apart last week when he broke a deal with Green Party MPs, a risky move that backfired when the Greens said they would vote against him in a confidence motion.

Yousaf took over the leadership of the Scottish National Party (SNP) last March, hoping to extend the party's dominance of politics north of the border into a third decade and strengthen the case for a new referendum on Scottish independence.
