Incident in Germany, 48-year-old man "runs" into crowd with car/

A serious incident shook Passau, Bavaria, on Saturday afternoon, when a 48-year-old man of Iraqi origin drove his car into a crowd of people, injuring five people, including his wife and five-year-old daughter.

According to German authorities, the suspect is known to the police and today the court issued an arrest warrant against him for attempted murder.

Initial investigations suggest that the conflict may have arisen due to a dispute over child custody.

His wife and another 39-year-old person were hospitalized, but their condition is not life-threatening.

Three other injured people, including the perpetrator's daughter, have been released from hospital after treatment for minor injuries.

Two other women, aged 18 and 52, were also injured with superficial injuries and bruises. Police are continuing their investigations to clarify their connections to the family involved in the incident.
