Belgium is shocked / Mother and daughter from Ukraine are found killed and

Belgium is shocked by the news of the murder of a 46-year-old mother and her 6-year-old daughter, who were found dead after a fire in their home.

The victims were Ukrainian families displaced in Belgium in the last three years.

What makes the incident more serious is the fact that knife wounds were found on their bodies, while it is suspected that the fire was deliberately started. Also the fact that the head of the family serves on the Ukrainian front.

The incident happened around 09:30, in the Hasrode area, near Oud-Heverle.

Belgian media report that the mother had died from the injuries received, while the daughter was found unconscious. Although attempts were made to bring him back to life, they did not work.
