Two mummified bodies claimed to be "non-human" have been put on display in front of politicians in Mexico's Congress.
The two small bodies of alleged aliens found in Cusco, Peru, were presented inside two boxes in Mexico City, sparking excitement within the UFO conspiracy theorist community.
The presentation was made by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan, who testified under oath that the mummified specimens are not part of "our terrestrial evolution", and that a third of their DNA remains "unknown", reports Mexican media. .

The claims of the self-proclaimed "urologist" have not been substantiated and Mr. Maussan has previously made similar claims of discoveries that were later disproved.
“These specimens are not part of our earthly evolution... These are not beings that were found behind UFO wreckage. They were found in diatom (algae) mines and later fossilized," he declared.
Maussan told attendees that the specimens had been studied by scientists at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), who were able to extract DNA evidence using radiocarbon dating. After comparisons were made with other DNA samples, it was found that over 30% of the specimens' DNA was "unknown", he said.
X-ray photographs of the specimens were also shown during the session, where experts testified under oath that one of the bodies is seen to have "eggs" inside, while both had implants made of very rare metals, such as osmium.
However, Maussan has previously been linked to claims of "alien" sightings that have since been dropped, including five mummies found in Peru in 2017 that were later found to be human children.
