Escobar visits the Monastery of Deçan
The US emissary for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar

The US emissary for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, visited the Monastery of Deçan in Kosovo today.

This visit of his comes after yesterday's meeting with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, holding a joint conference. Escobar welcomed the government's decision to grant several tens of hectares of land to the Monastery of Deçan.

In addition to Osmani, Escobar also met the leaders of the opposition last night, while today he is expected to meet with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, around 3:30 p.m.

At yesterday's government meeting, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, asked the Cadastral Agency to register the property of Deçan Monastery according to the decision of the Constitutional Court.
