New details are being learned about the execution of model Landy Párraga in a restaurant on Sunday in the city of Quevedo, Ecuador.
The authorities do not yet have a clear lead regarding the causes of her mafia execution by two people, while local media linked her name to one of the country's biggest drug traffickers, Leandro Norero.
Norero himself was killed in a macabre way during the revolt in one of the country's prisons in October of last year by having his head cut off.
Norero was known as one of the biggest drug traffickers in the country and went by the nickname "El Patron".
The media mentioned his name as the person who ordered the murder of the Albanian Ergys Dash in Ecuador two years ago, while he was also known as the financier of three criminal groups.
It is about the groups "Los Lobos", the biggest gang in the country, Los Tiguerones and Los Chones. All three groups are rivals of "Los Choneros".
The local prosecutor's office launched investigations into Norero's organization, which had strong connections to high levels in the government. The file called "Metastasis" included many important names, among them that of Landy Párraga, who had no previous criminal record.
