Rare, 7.3 kilogram baby is born in Brazil

A mother in Brazil has given birth to her baby weighing 7 kilograms and 328 grams. Born in Parintins, Brazil, on January 18, " G iant Baby " Angerson was born at Padre Colombo Hospital, 369 kilometers from Manaus.

The mother, Cleidiane Santos dos Santos, 27, is in good health and already has five children. At 40 weeks pregnant, she arrived at the hospital a day before giving birth on January 17, and the baby was born shortly after admission by caesarean section.

The mother said she was surprised by the size of her latest birth. " I thought it weighed four kilograms, instead it was seven. I want to thank the Padre Colombo hospital team, who have given me courage and treated me very well since I came here ," she said.

" The mother is receiving intensive care from the Neonatology team, who are taking care of all the necessary treatments. We are all happy, satisfied and grateful that this birth was resolved positively.

The situation was in any case dangerous: it is a rare case that surprised even us. Based on the ultrasound, we imagined that the baby would weigh six kilograms. And on the contrary, it exceeded this prediction ," said the midwife./ Tuko
