The drug "confuses" the destination, from the hands of the traffickers it ends up in the supermarket

An unusual event has been recorded in recent days in France, where a large supermarket informed the authorities that its employees have found dozens of packages of cocaine in 4 different places in the banana crates.

Staff at Grand Frais branches in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of eastern France were surprised to find 50kg of the drug hidden under pallets of bananas and were concerned for the health of customers as cocaine could have come into contact with the fruit.

An investigation has been launched to unravel the mystery of how the drug ended up on the market shelves, through Colombian bananas, while it is also being sought who were its senders and recipients.

A spokesman for the Grand Frais brand chain said: "We are working closely with the police to ensure the investigation goes smoothly and that our staff and customers are safe."
