The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has publicly announced Serbia's plan of measures for relations with Kosovo.

In his speech to the Serbian people, Vučić spoke about Serbia's measures in relation to Kosovo and Metohija, where the Serbian minority lives.

The Serbian President demands the cessation of unilateral actions from Kosovo and warned that they will launch a diplomatic campaign to meet their demands.

Although he expressed his readiness for dialogue with Kosovo, Vučič said that the prohibition of unilateral actions by Pristina is a prerequisite for the continuation of the dialogue in Brussels between the two parties for the normalization of relations.

"Today, Serbia is in a difficult legal and political situation regarding Kosovo and Metohija. Economically, Serbia is doing very well, maybe excellent. But what remains our most painful point is Kosovo and Metohia", said Vucic.

Within the Serbian measures, the President stated that their first request out of 7 such is the announcement and holding of free and democratic elections in the north of Kosovo with the participation of the OSCE and the EU Mission.

The second request is the return of the Serbs to the Regional Directorate of the Kosovo Police for the North.

The third demand, the return of Serbian judges and prosecutors to their judicial functions.

The fourth request, the withdrawal of the special forces of the Kosovo Police from the north of the country.

The fifth request, the formation of the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo.

The sixth demand, the implementation of the EU and US guarantees of December 28, 2022 for the release of political prisoners.

The seventh demand, the restoration of financial transactions and payments of postal services for Serbian citizens in the north of Kosovo in relation to Serbia.

Vucic declared that he will declare Kosovo and Metohija special social protection zones for Serbia.
