The baby who was taken out alive a few days ago from the womb of the mother killed in an Israeli air attack in the south of the country has died in a hospital in Gaza.
The baby, albeit premature, was taken out alive by cesarean section from the womb of a Palestinian woman at a hospital in Rafah at midnight on Sunday.
However, despite the care of doctors, she passed away on Thursday and was buried next to her mother.
Baby Sabreen was among 16 children killed in two airstrikes in Rafah last week. All were killed by the bombing that targeted a block of flats.
More than half of Gaza's population of 2.3 million have moved to Rafah to escape Israeli bombardment, prompted by the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel by the Palestinian extremist group Hamas, designated a terrorist organization by the United States. America and the European Union.
