The EU envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak , in his Easter greetings, also mentioned the meetings he had last week with the chief negotiators in the framework of the dialogue.
He said that from this week's meeting that will be held on Thursday, he hopes that Kosovo and Serbia will be able to overcome the remaining disputes.
"We concluded that another meeting will be needed. The two sides will return to Brussels this week and I hope we will be able to overcome the remaining gap on Thursday", Lajcak wrote.
The use of the dinar for cash payments in Kosovo was banned on February 1, when the Central Bank of Kosovo put into effect a new regulation that designated the euro as the country's sole official currency.
This issue angered Serbia and provoked disagreements between the Government of Kosovo and the international community, since the Serbian community in Kosovo, for years, receives payments in dinars from the budget of Serbia.
Western diplomats asked Kosovo to suspend the regulation, to give affected citizens time to adapt to the new practice.
