Former US President Bill Clinton has been admitted to a Washington hospital after developing a fever.
Clinton, 78, has been admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for tests and observation.
Angel Urena, deputy chief of staff to the 42nd US president, told US media that Clinton is "in good spirits and grateful for the care she is receiving at the hospital."
Another source close to Clinton said the situation is not "urgent."
"The former president will be fine," the source added.
Bill Clinton was active during the campaign in support of Vice President Kamala Harris.
In the years since Clinton left the White House, he has had several health problems.
In 2004, he underwent heart surgery after experiencing persistent chest pain and difficulty breathing.
Clinton returned to the hospital for lung surgery in 2005, and in 2010 had two stents placed in a coronary artery.
