Journalist Daria Aslamova is the last Russian to be declared a person undesirable in Kosovo. In addition to Aslamova, our country has also declared two officials of the Russian Office in Pristina and two others from the United Nations Mission (UNMIK) non-women.

Aslamova, by decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been banned from entering Kosovo for five years, after being stopped by the country's police on August 6.

According to Minister Xelal Sveçla, she was engaged in espionage in the Russian military intelligence, acting under the guise of a journalist. "As Minister of Internal Affairs, within my legal powers, based on the Law on Foreigners, Articles 17 and 66 A, I have declared Daria Asmalovan an undesirable person in the Republic of Kosovo. The entry of this person is prohibited for five years in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo", announced Sveçla. He added that anyone who wants to destabilize the country will face the force of the law.

"Anyone who, with certain goals or directives, violates or tries to destabilize our country, will without question face the force of the laws of the Republic of Kosovo", he continued.

The 52-year-old from Russia is a special correspondent for the Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda. This newspaper is known for its pro-Kremlin positions.

She also worked in Ukraine as a war correspondent for the Russian propaganda channel, Tsargrad. She has been seen as a journalist in many war zones including Chechnya, Abkhazia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Ossetia, Tajikistan and the former Yugoslavia.

On the last day of last year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo decided to expel the Russian UNMIK official, Andrey Antonov, from the country.

From the announcement given, Antonov has been engaged in increasing the pro-Russian element in the blockades that were made in the north of Kosovo in September 2021, when the Serbs were opposing measures for reciprocity with license plates.

In addition to declaring these UNMIK officials non-grata, Kosovo had also ordered the departure of Denis Vangerski and Alexey Krivosheev, officials of the Russian Liaison Office in Pristina. This request was made by the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA).

Kryvosheev was also declared persona non grata by the Albanian authorities. Before serving in Tirana, the Russian diplomat had served in the Balkan states, namely in North Macedonia./ Telegrafi
