An unusual event occurred today in Kosovo, where Prime Minister Albin Kurti was attacked with pyrotechnic means during a meeting in Skenderaj, part of the electoral campaign for the February 9th elections.
Kosovo media report that during Prime Minister Albin Kurti's attempts to enter the hall where the rally was to be held, fireworks and pyrotechnic vehicles were thrown at him.
According to the footage posted on the social network Facebook, the prime minister's close defence reacted immediately, covering Kurti and other Vetevendosje deputies with umbrellas to ensure their safety.
There are no reports of injuries, but the incident has caused tension at the location of the rally.
Meanwhile, a few minutes ago, near the venue where the rally was being held, dozens of democratic party of Kosovo (PDK) sympathizers were heard chanting "Na jena PDK, Thaçi - Thaçi" and "Albin hood" .
Also, the calls "Zdravo" were heard, which relate to the recent audio recording of the head of the Vetevendosje Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari, with Milan Radoicic, an event that has caused great controversy.
Voices from the opposition have defended the incident, calling the fireworks "democratic tools."
