DASH's unusual alert for Americans around the world: Due to rising
DASH alert for Americans

The US State Department has issued an unusual warning to US citizens around the world, urging them to exercise extra caution due to heightened tensions in several countries around the world.

DASH mentions "increased tensions in various countries around the world, the potential for terrorist attacks, demonstrations or violent actions against American citizens and their interests."

The alarm comes after the Israel-Hamas conflict and the outbreak of protests around the world in support of the Palestinians, protests that have often turned violent.

The State Department has raised the travel advisory for Lebanon and Israel to the highest level and authorized non-emergency US government personnel and their family members to leave.

The alert issued today by DASH states: "Worldwide Attention: Due to increased tensions in various countries around the world, the potential for terrorist attacks, demonstrations or violent actions against US citizens and interests, the State Department advises citizens Americans overseas to exercise extra caution"

The State Department last issued this type of alert in August 2022 after the assassination of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zaëhiri, warning that “supporters of al-Qaeda, or affiliated terrorist organizations, may seek to attack US facilities, personnel, or citizens."
