The company that owns the company that will build the tourist port of Durrës at a cost of 2.1 billion euros was founded only a year ago and from the public records in the United Arab Emirates business registry there is no data that shows a connection with the group of internationally known, 'Emaar'.

'North East Real Estate Holdings Limited', which owns 100 percent of the shares of 'Eagle Hills Real Estate Development', which according to the agreement signed with the Albanian Government will build the yacht port in Durrës, is registered with business license (CBLS) 11784172 with registration number 000006564.

The address stated by the company is '2462ResCoëork01, 24th Floor, Al Sila Toëer, Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She is represented by proxy by Rashid Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar, a citizen of the United Arab Emirates born in Singapore in 1978.

These are the company's data, where there is no thread to connect it with the 'Emaar' group, as stated by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has accused the opposition of slandering a global personality in the business world.

In addition, the company was founded only on November 22 of last year and its license is active until November 21 of the following year. There is no other data in the business register of the United Arab Emirates for this company.

The government says that the tourist port of Durrës will have a direct economic impact for the coastal city and all of Albania. According to Rama's statements, the investment turns this port into the largest of its kind in the Mediterranean.

However, the opposition calls it a corrupt mega-affair and submitted a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court to oppose the signed agreement, which has not yet passed the Assembly.
