Within the framework of the Pact with the University, IKTK archaeologists, in collaboration with the FHF, the Historical Museum of Lushnja and with the support of the Municipality of Divjaka, are carrying out for the first time a complete archaeological operation at this site with Cultural Monument status.
Archaeological surveys were conducted on the Hill of Saint George in the village of Bishtçukas, Divjaka.
Excavations have uncovered structures and objects from various historical periods – from late antiquity, the Middle Ages to the 19th century – including tiles, ceramic vessels, coins, and bricks with monograms.
The process continues to gain a deeper understanding of the history and extent of this ancient settlement.
