Prime Minister Edi Rama has been lax with beliefs in Albania, where he has often trumpeted in public about religious tolerance. In fact, tolerance has been and has been for a long time, not from state favors, but because beliefs and believers in Albania have a sense of patriotism in the first place. But, being a long-term leader, the prime minister has known how to buy these beliefs, at least so that they do not accuse him in public.
Rama has managed to make 3 out of the 4 faiths in Albania his own, where he promised the Bektashis an independent state, the Orthodox were given permission for a tower, while he inaugurated the Namazgja Mosque for the Muslims, and he gave the imam of this mosque, Gazmend Teqje, a huge permit for a palace complex in the Paskuqan area, in Kamëz.
But, so far, it has left out Catholics, the only ones who publicly opposed the government's action in the Theth area, where the Catholic Church of Shkodra also made a public statement. Meanwhile, the other three faiths, despite these favors, have so far "kept their mouths shut", even in the phenomena of the massive departure of Albanians from the country.
According to documents available to VoxNews, a few months ago the National Territorial Council also approved the development permit for "a residential and service building with 1, 11, 13, 14, 16 and 17 floors with 2 underground parking floors."
The construction permit has been granted to the firms "AB Vizion" and "Darsi", where they will develop the permit on the property of several families, more specifically Shehu. "The property is located in the Paskuqan area near the 'Hajredin Bylyshi' street and located next to the Grand Ring Road that has begun to function and facilitates access around Tirana, positioning it as part of the city's expansion to cope with the increase in the number of residents. The large area of the land allows for a planning that combines urban living with green spaces, while the ground floor includes commercial facilities and community services," the document states.
The documents state that the area of the land for the construction of the facility is 9,119 square meters and the project envisages the construction of a service structure with 17 floors above ground and 2 floors underground.
The document states that the complex will be called 'Coral' with a single building and around 360 apartments. "It is spread organically along the plot, offering views towards the center of Tirana. The large surface of the complex allows for an organization that combines living. It consists of 5 sections named with letters," the document continues, while there is also a map of what it will be like.
But who will build the ghetto complex in Paskuqan in the meantime?! According to documents researched by VoxNews, the AB Vizion company is owned by Mr. Gazmend Teqja, who is the Mufti of Tirana and the Imam of the Namazgja Mosque. The company was founded in 2022 and its offices are located in Farka, in the "White House" complex.
Its purpose is to carry out activities in the field of construction such as design, implementation of works and related activities. The facility also provides for the management of civil, social, tourist, industrial areas, bridges, tunnels, works of art, etc.
