A few days later, the National Food Authority raised the alarm about the sale of ' Wudy ' sausages on the market, while appealing to citizens not to consume them, as this product contains the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes STI55, which is harmful to human health.

According to the AKU , several laboratory analyzes were carried out in Italy, where tests have shown that 'Wudy' type sausages contain a type of bacteria which, if consumed, causes risky problems for people who consume it. For this reason, AKU announced that this product will be withdrawn from the market and blocked, so that consumers will no longer receive it.

The National Food Authority, immediately after the notification received from the Rapid Notification System for Food and Animal Feed, is taking all measures through official controls on food business operators to identify, block and withdraw the product from the market.

AKU urged not to consume these products and if consumers have bought them, to return them to the entities where they received them. But surprisingly yesterday, Jeta Deda , the director of the National Food Authority (AKU), declares that the "Wudy" products that have entered Albania are safe, certified and not affected by the " Listeria " virus.

The director of this institution stated that "The lots that have turned out to be problematic are not lots that have entered Albania ". It was surprising the fact that on the day of raising the alarm for this product, it was said that all of them should be withdrawn from the market and that those who have eaten this product should go and do the analysis.

Sokol Meqemeja , representative of the company " Frigo Food ", exclusive importer of "Wudy" in Albania, has himself consumed one of the products he brings, to show that they do not pose any problem for the health of consumers.

In a video published on social networks, one day after the AKU warning about these foods, Meqemeja gave a show saying that the "Frigo Food" company wants to assure Albanian citizens who have used "Wudy" products that they will not have no effect on their health.

The head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Institute of Public Health, Silva Bino , says that the Listeria bacterium that has been identified in the Wudy sausage banned by AKU causes serious problems in human health.

"Listrioza nuk ka karakteristikë diarrenë, por shkakton septicemi, aborte, lindje të parakohshme. Pra përbën rrezik për gratë shtatzëna, personat me kancer, personat mbi 65-vjeç", thotë doktoreshë Silva Bino.

Mjeku Ilir Alimehmeti ngre pikëpyetjet mbi profesionalizimin e Autoritetit Kombëtar të Ushqimit dhe trajtimin e rastit. Në një reagim, ai e cilëson një lajm të mirë konfirmimin, edhe pse të vonuar, të AKU-së se “nuk kishte asnjë arsye për alarmin e krijuar mbi Listeria monocytogenes”.

Por, mjeku shton se AKU duhet të shpjegojë pse ngriti panikun në shkallë kombëtare përpara se të sigurohej a kishin hyrë ato lote malli në Shqipëri, apo jo

Ai ndalet edhe te këshillat drejtuar qytetarëve nga drejtoresha e institucionit në njoftimin paraprak të rastit, për tu vizituar te mjeku nëse kishin konsumuar “Wudy”.

“Drejtoresha duhet të shpjegojë se përse, duke mos qenë as profesioniste shëndetësore, u këshilloi qytetarëve të vizitoheshin te mjeku nëse kishin konsumuar produktin, pavarësisht nga fakti që këto lote nuk kishin hyrë fare në Shqipëri”, thotë mjeku Alimehmeti.

Ka shumë pikëpyetje se si ky produkt nga kancerogjen tashmë na doli i sigurt vetëm pë pak ditë. Cila është e vërteta pse u kërkua konsumatorëve të mos e hanin këtë produkt dhe të bënin analiza?

A e ‘besoi’, Jeta Deda drejtoresha e Autoriteti Kombëtar të Ushqimit i cili hante salsiçe “Wudy” nëpër konferenca dhe televizione apo kemi ndonjë marrëveshje mes tyre që nga të ‘pasigurta’ u bënë të ‘sigurta’.
