When it was first reported about the identity of the owner that the cleaner had stolen thousands of euros of jewelry in the apartment, part of the media reported the event as it is, that is, that Alda Klosi is the close associate of Arben Ahmetaj in all the ministries that he posts held.
Klosi was Arben Ahmetaj's chief of staff when the latter headed the Ministry of Finance and when the Fier incinerator concession was granted.
This was one of the details that were revealed in visual and online media.
But, in a good part of the media, the news stayed only for a while with these details. They were changed from a close associate of Ahmetaj, the same media made Alda Klosi an employee of the Prime Minister's office, that is, of Edi Rama.
The change in these reports rightly raises some questions. The main one is whether Arben Ahmetaj of the media in question intervened not to connect the name of Alda Klos with himself, but with Edi Rama?
The answer leans more towards 'Yes' and a good part of journalists are of this opinion. Journalist Adriatik Doçi, who filed a complaint with SPAK for the non-inclusion of evidence showing the financial benefits of Arben Ahmetaj from Klodian Zoto, not only targets the opposition.
"More serious than the lack of justice action is the miserable silence of the bought opposition and some media, just not to mention the name of Arben Ahmetaj, who is perceived as the second most corrupt politician in Albania, after the mentor of his, Ilir Meta", he writes.
"The opposition press does not mention that the cleaner stole Arben Ahmetaj's chief of staff. Imagine, Ben also castrated you and then they wonder why no one takes them seriously", says the other journalist, Dritan Hila.
Journalist Habjon Hasani uses irony to attack the phenomenon of media silence.
"I have been updating BIRN for two hours about Ahmetaj's news. I'm waiting for that title of their father and none: 'Exclusive, speaks Beni Ahmetaj: I don't understand why you ask me about this issue. I don't have a cleaner, I take the powders at home myself", he writes.
