The basic business logic of low-cost airlines is to minimize costs by offering passengers a basic ticket at a low price in order to attract the entire price-sensitive segment of travelers.

So, "low cost" airlines are specifically distinguished by their much cheaper ticket prices compared to other companies, or as they are called in technical language, "legacy", while they ensure profits by keeping their planes as full as possible and flying most of the time.

However, as Skyweb.al found during several days of observation of ticket prices of low-cost companies flying from Albania, it seems that the situation is completely reversed.

Even self-proclaimed "low cost" companies like Wizz Air turn out to offer more expensive ticket prices than other companies that are not considered low cost.

Skyweb.al compared tickets, for the same date, time of day, baggage weight and seat selection, for destinations where different companies fly from Tirana, coming to unexpected conclusions regarding the company Wizz Air, which claims to offer cheap prices.

Thus, SkyWeb.al chose a hypothetical departure on May 3 and return on May 6 from several destinations to see how the companies compare to each other and whether citizens really get "low cost" prices or does this only exist on paper?
