The Assembly has tasked the Bank of Albania to analyze and be alert to the real estate market for 2023. In the draft resolution for BSH, the Assembly emphasizes that the exposure of the banking sector in this market should be monitored.
"To analyze with priority the developments in the real estate market as well as carefully monitor the exposure of the banking sector to this market, improving the monitoring and risk management framework in this regard as well as developing the necessary instruments to address any contingency possible", the document reads.
Other tasks for BSH continue with the standardization and improvement of the problem loans administration process, the completion of the regulatory framework on the requirements that the banking system must meet to ensure adequate cyber protection.
The Bank is required to continuously monitor all internal and external developments of the economy and to take care to formulate a monetary policy, which enables the return of inflation to the target, with the least possible cost on the long-term growth of the economy.
An important demand is also that of reducing the use of physical money as well as encouraging the use of the Direct Debit scheme by the general public and supporting the participation of new actors.
