The Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced that during the next week, public institutions will pay their employees the new salary increments, for the months of April and May, that they could not receive in time.

In the conference after the government meeting, Ibrahimaj added that in July, the administration and all officials will receive the increased salary, according to the coefficients approved by the parliament in May of this year.

Meanwhile, at the beginning of June, Ibrahimaj, in an unanticipated conference, said that the government will postpone the salary increase for the state sector for this month as well. The reason was the miscalculation of the coefficients, where with the new increases a subordinate could have a higher salary than a director.

A few months after the approval, the government said it needs more time to implement the salary increase, but a few days after this finding, it already decides the distribution.

She clarified that in the coming month, July 2023, the administration will have received the two approved salary increases, which were not received during the months of April-May.
