The Committee of Production Activities has started the examination of the draft law of 12 deputies of the Socialist Party for changes in the law "On protected areas", which paves the way for constructions within the territories that enjoy natural protection status. The presentation of the draft was made by the deputy, Fadil Nasufi, as one of the initiators of the draft, who said that the goal is to establish a balance between communities and the development of permitted activities within these territories.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism and Environment said that they will express themselves in writing on the initiative, but previously expressed the need to find a balance between sustainable development and increasing the income of the communities living in these areas.

The draft will go through the process of discussions and consultation with the interested parties, as earlier the environmental experts have criticized the proposals saying that the document deposited in the Assembly does not respect any planning instrument of the territory, paving the way for unsustainable development.
