Import, who are Albania's favorite countries for some product categories

China and Turkey offer supplies at much more favorable prices for Albanian importers and consumers than other markets, making these two countries among the favorites for foreign trade. The data of INSTAT regarding foreign trade, point out that China occupies the second country in terms of the value of imported goods, after Italy, and Turkey occupies the third place.

Specifically, we imported 78.1 billion ALL of goods from China in 10 months, with an increase of 16.1 billion ALL compared to the period January-October 2022.

We mostly import machinery, equipment and spare parts from this country; textiles and footwear; Construction materials and metals as well as chemical and plastic products.

While we buy 70.5 billion ALL of goods from Turkey, although with a significant decrease compared to a year ago, of 24.3 billion ALL, but despite this, it still has not fallen from the "pedestal" of the ranking compared to other partner countries. The most requested commodity groups from Turkey are construction materials and metals; textiles and footwear. As for exports to these countries, they are modest.
