The Bank of Albania has decided to keep the key interest rate at 2.75%, given that inflation is showing a downward trend.

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, emphasized at a press conference that the country's economy has continued to grow, and a key factor for this has been the development of tourism.

The Bank of Albania has also taken measures to support the agricultural sector and small businesses, making available a fund of 25 billion lek. Sejko stressed that this measure aims to facilitate access to loans at lower rates for these sectors, to encourage increased lending and investment.

Regarding the rise of the euro, the governor commented that there had been a small movement, which was related to the increase in the level of spending, but which did not cause major concerns for the stability of the national currency.
