The energy price for family subscribers comes into effect / Those who consume up

The energy price for household subscribers comes into effect.

From today, anyone who consumes up to 700 kWh/month of energy will pay 8.5 lek per kWh, while for families who consume over 700 kWh/month, the price remains 9.5 lek per kWh.

So, if until now families consuming 700 kW paid 7980 lek with VAT, from next month the payment will be reduced to 7140 lek or 840 lek less.

While without VAT, the same bill decreases from 6650 lek to 5950 lek, or 700 lek less.

The number of families that benefit from this facility is growing. There are over 1 million families that consume up to 700 kWh of energy per month.

This decision was made in January by the Energy Regulatory Authority, while Prime Minister Edi Rama declared after the decision to reduce the price for household subscribers that this facility was not taken for electoral purposes, but the government has a plan to transform Albania into an energy exporting country by 2030. The new electricity tariff that comes into effect from this Saturday will be applied until December 31 of this year.
