A question that embarrassed the Ukrainian ambassador to our country
Ukrainian ambassador in Tirana Volodymyr Shukrov

Of the nine questions of the journalist Erion Habilaj (VOX News), addressed to the Ukrainian ambassador, Volodymyr Shukrov, the seventh question was the most embarrassing. Such was the answer of the ambassador...

The seventh question, Mr. Ambassador: "...Albanians, due to the decisions of the Great Powers, are divided into several countries, as we are the only country whose land border consists of our compatriots. Albania has a concern related to Kosovo. Ukraine is one of the countries that has not recognized its independence... Do you think the time has come to have a different approach and recognize Kosovo as an independent state, as it actually is?"

Volodymyr Shukrov: "The issue of recognizing Kosovo has been raised repeatedly... Ukraine is closely monitoring the situation in the Balkans, especially in the Western Balkans region. We are grateful to Kosovo for its solidarity and support to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. Now it is important for us to get out of the fire of war. The recognition of Kosovo's independence can be discussed at a later stage!!!"

...

I did not follow the interview in question, as they say "live", but I took it from the DITA newspaper on July 6, 2022. For this reason, I did not have the opportunity, apart from the words, to see the ambassador's "body language" Ukrainians in our country. However, I am offering a couple of considerations about the meaning of his words on the question at hand:

-"Ukraine is monitoring the situation in the Balkans. . .” - says the ambassador.

The events in the Balkans, and those related to Kosovo, started in 1999. Since then, a full 23 years have passed. For 23 consecutive years, the state of Ukraine lived with "monitoring", without managing to determine its position in relation to the Balkans? A full 13 years have passed since the day Kosovo was declared a Republic, which has been recognized by dozens and dozens of countries, most of which are those of Western Europe, where Ukraine seeks refuge. While the latter continues to "monitor". . . Doesn't that look a little ridiculous?!!!

-"We are grateful to Kosovo for its solidarity and support to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. Now it is important for us to get out of the fire of war..."!, - continued the ambassador friend.

Thank you, friend, for appreciating the support of Kosovo, but this support requires reciprocity from friends. And the friend with the friend, not only uses the "hoe" (to get the mitres), but also the "shovel" (to give the mitres to the friend as well). You are really in the heat of the war, but your president Zhelinski gives ten statements a day. Also give a three-minute declaration for Kosovo, that no harm will come from your war against the Russian invader. On the contrary.

-"Recognition of Kosovo's independence can be discussed at a later stage!!!", Ambassador Volodymyr Shukrov concludes the answer to the seventh question.

This last answer puts the "stamp" on the two-standard attitudes of Ukrainian citizens about independence. For the independence of their state, they are ready to throw themselves, and rightly so, into war against the Russian occupier. They even seek the help of the entire West, including the small Kosovo in the Western Balkans. While when it comes to work for other states, for other republics, as in the case of the Republic of Kosovo, which has suffered twice as much as Ukraine in time and in unparalleled genocide, the ambassador of Ukraine, 40 or so million, surpasses the fate of two million Albanians with the phrase: "Recognition of Kosovo's independence can be discussed at a later stage. . . "

So, not only "at a later stage", but also adds the word "may", to which, if an "s" is added to the top, accompanied by an apostrophe, it becomes "s"may"!!!

Conclusion:

Ukrainian statesmen claim that they are defending democracy and independence in Ukraine, but in reality there is not a single gram of democracy and not a single gram of independence. The Ukrainian Zhelinski and the Russian Putin are nothing but sick nationalists who, as part of world imperialism, want to introduce Europe and the world into a new butchery, the costs of which are paid by the peoples.

The states in question not only apply the bourgeois system, where democracy is a facade, just like in all other capitalist and imperialist states, but moreover, Ukraine and Russia, come from the same Empire, which has more than once been a participant of " Great Powers" in the fragmentation of Albanian lands.
