The fire at the sponge factory in Tirana, the worker asphyxiated (Details)

The sponge factory in Kombinat in the Misto Mames area of ​​the capital was engulfed in flames at noon today. As a result of the explosion of fire inside the factory, a worker was suffocated.

The media have reported the footage of the worker being taken out of the factory with a barrel, who was unable to get out due to the smoke and soot. From the burning of sponge materials in the factory, black smoke has covered the area. Meanwhile, the causes of the fire inside the factory are still unknown.

On 30.08.2022, in "Misto Mame", there was a fire in a warehouse with sponge materials and as a result there was only material damage . Firefighters are at the scene and are working to extinguish the fire. The work of the investigation group continues to clarify the circumstances of the incident, the police announced.
