Murder in Korça, Kristjan Sterjo arrested

The suspected perpetrator of the murder of Joan Zuko in Korça, Kristjan Sterjo, was arrested near his own apartment.

Sterjo has been searching for the entire afternoon by RENEA forces and the Korça police, while the latter have received information that he would return to his apartment to get money. Kristjan Sterjo is one of the most problematic young men in the city of Korça, and is also known for his carefree life.

Kristjan Sterjo was previously arrested for stabbing, while on his social media he posted photos and videos bragging about his life, defying the police and the law.

According to preliminary evidence, Zuko attempted to escape the perpetrator by entering an area with buildings, but was ambushed near the entrance of a building.

Once the victim was trapped between the buildings, with no way out, the perpetrator shot Zuko, leaving him dead.

The victim and the perpetrator are said to have grown up together and a long-standing conflict between them is suspected to have led to the serious incident.

Joan Zuko had been working in the Armed Forces for more than a year. It is learned that he had left his post about two months ago, as he was going to join his brother in emigration.
