The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, was in Krujë this afternoon together with the Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi. In a reaction to the situation, Minister Lamallari says that the fire was caused by man and that the State Police has already arrested the suspected perpetrator.

"The State Police has already arrested the arsonist and he will face serious legal consequences for this criminal offense," writes Minister Lamallari.

In his reaction, the minister emphasizes that the perpetrator will face legal consequences for the criminal offense, while police structures continue to be engaged in the field to guarantee the safety of residents.

"We continue to closely follow the difficult battle with the fire in Kruja, which unfortunately this time was also caused by man," Lamallari said.

According to the minister, following the request of the local government, the State Police has taken measures for the partial evacuation of residents located near the fire, as a preventive measure to guarantee their lives and safety.

"Every force is on the ground and every means is available until the danger is completely neutralized," declares the Minister of Interior.

The operation in Kruja is taking place in difficult conditions due to the terrain, with the engagement of ground forces and air support. Firefighting and emergency services continue to work to isolate the fires and prevent the spread of flames to residential areas.
