The murder of Pjerin Xhuvani, the prosecution finds new evidence, 6 policemen

The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has released new evidence during today's session, where the hearing of witnesses for the murder of Pjerin Xhuvan continues.

According to the prosecution, 6 officers of the "Shqiponja" department were aware of cars that had weapons in Elbasan. Based on these suspicions, the security measure "house arrest" was requested for the 6 officers who returned to duty a few months ago.

The murder in Elbasan, which happened a few days before the general elections of 2021, caused numerous reactions and mutual accusations from the political side.

The Democratic Party accused the Socialists of buying votes to win the election, while the majority accused the opposition of raising an armed group to use before and during the election.

The victim Pjerin Xhuvani was previously accused by the Democratic Party of being the organizer of the clash with DP sympathizers on Summer's Day on March 14, 2021.
