The Tirana Prosecution has requested 23 years in prison for one of the suspected perpetrators of the execution of Gentian Bejatja on March 15, 2024.

The prosecution is seeking the guilty verdict of Ilir Beqarjat for 3 criminal offenses, 'Premeditated Murder', 'Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition' and 'Forgery or Use of Forged Identity Cards, Passports or Visas'.

The bachelor played the role of an assistant in the assassination attempt on Bejtja in his apartment.

On March 15, 2024, 50 bullets were fired at Bejtjan, 30 of them fatal, hitting him in the face and body, causing his instant death. 

It is suspected that Bejtje was aware of many other crimes from the last 10 years.

He was suspected of being involved in several assassination attempts, as the person who ambushed the victims, an informant or an assistant to the executioners. The 42-year-old himself had escaped several assassination attempts before being killed.

On July 4, 2023, his brother-in-law Ramazan Sino, 29 years old, was killed outside his home, Bejtja was injured, as well as his two sons, 10 and 13 years old.

The first suspicions fell on Vlater Bami, but after 6 months he was released due to the expiration of the investigative deadlines.

On January 9, 2022, Gentian Bejtja was shot dead near Nikla, but his 31-year-old friend Klodian Stafuka was injured.

Prosecutor's Office Announcement:

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction has requested the guilty verdict of citizen Ilir Beqaraj alias Brahimi, alias Mançellari and his sentence to 23 years in prison for the murder of Gentjan Bejtja in an assassination attempt in the courtyard of his apartment.

The prosecution explains that the investigations resulted in the fact that on 15.03.2024, armed persons, after having passed the external fence of Gentjan Bejtja's apartment, entered the yard and fired several shots at him, where as a result of the gunshots he died instantly.

A few minutes after the incident, on a secondary road in the village of Hasan, Fushë Krujë, a Land Rover vehicle, which was used by the perpetrators at the scene, was found burning.

"From the evidence administered, it results that the defendant  Ilir Beqaraj,  at various times before this event, was in his vehicle near the location of the apartment of citizen Gentjan Bejtja, this is proven by examining the GPS of the vehicle he rented," the prosecution explains.

Po ashtu, sipas organit te akuzes, “nga akti i ekspertimit biologjik të AND-së, është konluduar se: automjeti i markës Volksagen Golf me ngjyre të zezë, në pronësi të shtetasit E.H (arrestuar në datë 19.03.2024), që është përdorur nga autorët për t’u larguar menjeherë pas djegies së automjeti markës “Land Rover”, në fshatin Hasan, Fushë Krujë, dhe në të është përftuar profil gjenetik i shtetasëve I.B, alias I.B, alias I.M (arrestuar ne datë 19.03.2024) dhe F.P, alias F.Si, alis F,M, të cilët dyshohen se kanë pasur rol në ekzekutimin/vrasjen e shtetasit G.B, me datë 15.03.2024, në fshatin  Larush, Fushë Krujë”.

Prokuroria pranë Gjykatës së Shkallës së Parë të Juridiksionit të Përgjithshëm, Tiranë kërkon shpalljen fajtor të shtetasit, I. B alias B alias M për veprat penale ‘Vrasje me paramendim” të kryer në bashkëpunim, ‘Mbajtje pa leje dhe prodhim i armëve, armëve shpërthyese dhe i municionit” , në formën e mbajtjes në banesë dhe “Falsifikimi apo përdorimi i letërnjoftimeve, pasaportave apo i vizave të falsifikuara” , parashikuar nga nenet 78/1 e 25,  278/4 dhe 189/1  i i Kodit Penal.

Nga hetimet e procedimit penal nr.1944 të vitit 2024, rezultoi se më datë 15.03.2024, persona të armatosur pasi kanë kaluar rrethimin e jashtëm të banesës së shtetasit G.B, kanë hyrë brenda oborrit dhe kanë qëlluar disa herë me armë zjarri në drejtim të shtetasit G.B, ku si pasojë e të shtënave me armë zjarri ka gjetur vdekjen e mjenjëhershme. Pak minuta pas ngjarjes në rrugën dytësore në fshatin Hasan, Fushë Krujë, është konstatuar duke u djegur një automjet tip Land Rover, që është përdoruar nga autorët në vendngjarje.

Nga provat e administruara rezulton se i pandehuri I.B në kohë të ndryshme përpara kësaj ngjarje me mjetin e tij ka qenë në afërsi të vendit ku ndodhet banesa e shtetasit G.B, kjo gjë provohet nga kqyrja e GPS të automjetit të cilin e ka të marrë me qera.

Nga akti i ekspertimit biologjik të AND-së, është konluduar se: automjeti i markës Volksagen Golf me ngjyre të zezë, në pronësi të shtetasit E.H (arrestuar në datë 19.03.2024), që është përdorur nga autorët për t’u larguar menjeherë pas djegies së automjeti markës “Land Rover”, në fshatin Hasan, Fushë Krujë, dhe në të është përftuar profil gjenetik i shtetasëve I.B, alias I.B, alias I.M (arrestuar ne datë 19.03.2024) dhe F.P, alias F.Si, alis F,M, të cilët dyshohen se kanë pasur rol në ekzekutimin/vrasjen e shtetasit G.B, me datë 15.03.2024, në fshatin  Larush, Fushë Krujë.

Pas kryerjes së veprime hetimore është urdhëruar rregjistrimi i emrave të  personave nën hetim në lidhje me procedimin penal nr 1944 të vitit 2024, ku për shtetasin I.B më datë 28.02.2025 është bërë veçimi i procedimit penal nr.1944/2 e vitit 2024 i cili referuar provave të grumbulluara gjatë hetimit të këtij procedimi penal, mekanizmi i ngjarjes është i atillë në të cilin i pandehuri I.B rezulton se ka bashkëpunuar me personat e tjerë duke luajtur rolin e ndihmësit dhe këtë vepër penale e ka kryer në bashkëpunim.

For this reason, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction requested:

The guilty plea of ​​the defendant IB (alias Brahimi, alias Mançellari) for the criminal offense of "Premeditated Murder" committed in collaboration, provided for by Article 78/1 and 25 of the Criminal Code and, based on this provision, his sentence to 21 (twenty-one) years of imprisonment.

The guilty plea of ​​the defendant IB (alias Brahimi, alias Mançellari) for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", in the form of possession in the apartment provided for by Article 278/4 of the Criminal Code and, based on this provision, his sentence to 2 (two) years of imprisonment.

The guilty plea of ​​the defendant IB for the criminal offense of Forgery or use of forged identity cards, passports or visas, provided for by Article 189/1 of the Criminal Code and, based on this provision, his sentence to 1 (one) year of imprisonment.

In application of Article 55 of the Criminal Code, it is requested that the above sentences be combined into a single sentence, definitively sentencing the defendant IB to 23 (twenty-three) years of imprisonment.
