The perpetrator of the murder committed in Gjorm, Selenica, has been identified as Bertil Aliaj, the son of the victim's uncle.

Bertil Alliaj had been wanted for years because he was a participant in the Çola massacre that took place in Vlora.

Bertili has been wanted since 2015, when the Çole massacre occurred.

Despite being wanted, he often went to Gjorm without being disturbed. Bertil Alliaj has received a sentence in absentia for the serious incident.

"Following the preliminary information provided earlier, the first investigative actions have made it possible to identify the suspected perpetrator of the incident, citizen BA, who is suspected of having shot his cousin, citizen D. A, in the village of Gjorm ," the police announced.

After committing the crime, citizen Bertil Aliaj fled to the surrounding mountainous area, where he is suspected of hiding.

The structures of the Vlora Local Police Directorate are continuing their intensive work to locate and capture the suspected perpetrator, while under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigative actions continue for the full documentation of the event.
