The Special Court has accepted the request of the Prosecution to bring to trial the perpetrators of the sensational murder of two businessmen Vajdin Lame and Klodian Saliu in 2005.

It is about the file that implicates Lulzim Berisha, Emiljano Shullazi, Plarent Dervishaj, Viktor Imer, Indrit Taullai, Indrit Rusi and Luftar Reçi, the latter an associate of justice.

The defendants claimed during this Friday's session that the testimonies of the repentant justice, Luftar Reçi, are untrue. " They are unbelievable and there is no evidence to prove the accusations ", the defendants said.

The ambush against Klodian Saliu took place on the evening of February 26, 2005, on the Tirana - Durrës highway, near Maminas. His car was shot by machine gun fire causing him to die instantly.

While the second serious crime happened two days later, in the palace where Vajdin Lame lived in Tirana. He and his friend died as a result of the explosion of a large amount of tritol in the elevator.
