A serious incident is reported from the coastal city of Saranda. The police informs that they have arrested a 59-year-old man from Kosovo, who had an apartment in Saranda and had rented it to six Italian citizens for vacations.

However, under the claim that they had damaged some electrical appliances, the 59-year-old locked the door and deprived them of their freedom for about an hour.

The blue uniforms had received notice that in the neighborhood no. 1 of the coastal city, a citizen had illegally detained several citizens in an apartment and immediately organized the work and arrived at the scene.

Police notification:

"As a result of the immediate actions of the Police services, the citizen JA, 59 years old, a resident of Pristina, was handcuffed, and the citizens were released from the apartment.

The 59-year-old man, for about 1 hour, deprived the freedom of 6 Italian citizens, in the apartment he had rented, as he claimed that these citizens had damaged some equipment in this apartment", it is stated in the announcement of the State Police.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty".
