The police have given the details of the tragic accident in Saranda where 2 Italian tourists lost their lives.

The police announce that the vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old man, who collided with the motorcycle, the last one driven by Italians.

At around 03:00 on 24.08.2023, on the Saranda-Ksamil road axis, in the place called "Hidrovor", the "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, driven by citizen ER, 17 years old, collided with a "Honda" type motorcycle. .

As a result of the collision, Italian citizen DG, 24 years old, and another citizen, still unidentified, who were traveling with the "Honda" motorcycle, lost their lives.

The driver of the vehicle, citizen ER, was taken to the hospital, together with citizen MR, a passenger in the vehicle. 

The investigative team is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident.

The Mercedes Benz type vehicle has a Sarande-Ksamil drive and a Ksamil-Sarand engine
