Environmental activists, civil society protesters, and various citizens gathered this Sunday afternoon to protest in the capital in front of the Ministry of Interior to oppose construction in Zvërnec, Vlora.

The protest came a day after clashes between activists in Zvërnec where they clashed with private security guards of the company that has begun construction in Zvërnec.

One of the protesting citizens was dragged away by private guards and raped.

Meanwhile, in today's protest, one of the activists, Taulant Binaj, stated today that Albania is not for sale, and that this is not a battle just for Zvërnec but for all of Albania.

The fundamental problem, according to him, is the 2024 law on protected areas approved by the majority.
