The police issued an announcement regarding the death of businessman Armando Nelaj in Saranda a few days ago.

In the police announcement, it is stated that the 52-year-old man died as a result of an explosion, while it is emphasized that the expert report is expected.

The victim, dressed as a sailor, had dived 100 meters away from the Seaport when his oxygen cylinder allegedly exploded. Nelaj, mutilated in most of his body, was pulled ashore by two casual tourists who passed by in a raft while he died a few moments later.

His identification became possible on Tuesday afternoon when the victim's brother reported him to the Saranda Police Station after he did not answer the phone. After the officers showed him the photo of the mutilated victim, he recognized his brother from the tattoo on his neck.
