'I am God'/ 120 years in prison in Rome for 2 Albanian gangs, behind

120 years in prison in total is the decision of the court of Rome for the gangs of 2 Albanians Elvis Demçe and Ermal Arapaj. Demçe, who secured an important place at the table of the Italian mafia, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, while Arapaj, who was otherwise known by the nickname "Ufo", will remain behind bars for 16 years.

The sentences for the members of the organizations range from 4 years and 6 months to 9 years and 8 months. The band of the Albanian Elvis Demçe was born in 2020 and had a rapid growth. In August 2020, he traded 100 kg of hashish, while the following October he was able to trade over 1 ton, which brought him an income of up to 4 million euros.

The Italian media have often dedicated articles to Elvis Demçe, who collaborated with Arben Zogu and Dorian Petoku, who are also behind bars. Demce, when he got out of prison in 2020, had the right contacts, those with organizations in Rome, with the Moroccan army, the port authorities of Gioia Tauro and traffickers from Ecuador.

Demçe, who has a tough appearance, referred to himself as "God". With a deep-rooted conviction, he said: "I am God". He wrote it on social networks, using his nicknames, "Spartacus" or "Perseo", to which a strong symbolic meaning was attached. In his absence, the drug trafficking squares were taken over by Ermal Arapaj, an Albanian like him and head of another very 'respected' organization. When Demce was in prison for the murder of Federico Di Meo, 30 years old, 'Ufo' tried to gain ground by stealing the drug squares, Velletri and Acilia. This led to clashes between the gangs, who started gun battles, attempted murders, and set cars on fire. After these events, they managed to fall on the tracks of the police.

The criminal groups, one of which was led by Ermal Arapaj, known as 'Ufo', while on the other hand it was Elvis Demçe, who led the rival group, were arrested by the police after a 'Blic' action, which took place on the morning of January 18. 27 people were arrested, avoiding in this way several possible murders, for drug trafficking.
