On September 23, 2022, Dervish Arapi, 61 years old, a resident of Patos, was crushed to death by a car near the Patos Turn.

Genti, the administrator of a funeral agency in Fier, connected the victim's family members with his lawyer uncle, Ardian Dauti. The latter has concluded several notarial agreements with them, taking over the representation in all institutions both for the criminal case and for compensation.

But the lawyer does not even open the phone to the family members. Without any communication with the lawyer, the family members turned to the prosecutor's office, where even this institution did not give them any information regarding the investigation.

In the agreement with the family members, the lawyer wrote that every time they withdraw, he himself receives 50% of the compensation, according to the denunciation published by Stop.

Complainant: It came as a surprise to me, it was like a bombshell when my uncle's daughter-in-law came and told me. We were still shocked, we didn't know what was happening.

Complainant: The police came, they notified me the next day at 08:30-09:00 and I fled directly to Fier. He was 61 years old. He had fled to Fier because he was disabled.

Complainant: They didn't tell us anything. We went to the Prosecutor's Office, we don't know who the prosecutor is, we ask for him and they don't tell us.
