Injured with a knife during the fight where Martin Cani was killed, 14-year-old

Luis Meçja, the 14-year-old who was wounded with a knife during the fight and his friend Martin Cani was killed, has been released from the hospital. 

They were stabbed by one of their peers, Mario Prelleshaj, who has already been arrested by the police and is in the juvenile institution in Kavaja.

We remind you that in relation to the incident, the injured person claims that there are two perpetrators, but the Police denies such a thing.

Through an official communiqué, the Police have stated that from the investigations and the administered evidence, including film footage, it appears that the author is only one.

"From the investigative and procedural actions in the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, from the moment the event began and following the investigations, there is no second author of the event who was fabricated by casting low doubts on the authenticity of the statements of the State Police",  the statement says.

According to the police, the author of the murder, Mario Preleshaj, was hit and laid on the ground by the victim, Martin Cani, and his friend, Luis Meçja.

Further, the police continue, Prelleshaj reacted by shooting with a knife.

"The perpetrator of the murder was hit and laid on the ground by the victim and his friend. He reacted by shooting with a knife, meanwhile from the testimonies of the persons present in the conflict, and from the totality of the administered evidence, it does not appear that the perpetrator's friend stabbed the victim's friend, while he and the victim were on the body of the author lying on the ground" , says the police.
